The Fam, 2008

Here is the best shot I could get in 20 minutes with a camera-shy family, a self-timer shot while I'm wearing a dress and trying to set the tripod up to get a cool angle without lying on the ground and my family asking after every adjustment if that was the end. Not bad for less than optimal artistic conditions.

Here is our last family picture, from almost 4 years ago. It is fun to see how everyone has changed. Yes, I said 4 years. That is about how often I can rope them in front of the camera. Sigh.

  1. Oh Kellie, you have an absolutely beautiful family! Great picture. Got me thinking... since the baby is 9 months old tomorrow, it might be a nice thing to have a more recent family picture than the day after he was born... :)

  3. That is a good shot! Especially knowing that is was self-timer! I like that in four years your only male smiler is still Jeff:)

  4. It really is a great picture. You'd never know they were complaining about it. But you need to do it more often than every four years! Gorgeous family!

  8. That is a great picture--I love how the hights are stagged to create such a nice line.

  9. Oh oh oh!!! I LOVE THE TEMPLE ONE!! I want one like that of my family when my kids are all big and beautiful like that. I don't think they'd cooperate right now :)

  10. Great job. Only a true photographer can do a great family portrait with herself in it! Nice work.

  11. Love your newest picture! I realized the other day when I was hanging pictures that I don't even have a "real" family picture with Leah in it and she just turned two!

  12. nicely done. Eva wanted to see it too so I quizzed her on who everyone was. Tell Sara that her new nickname is "Sarina" (i think that's a diminutive/endearing form of Sarah in Evalyn-ese).
