I got a mistaken call from another time zone at 4:15 this morning and my night's slumber was over. So, I read, caught up on emails and managed to catch the moment of sunrise here in Bakersfield, CA. It's already a good day.
Yesterday of course, was the wedding of my oldest son so was, by definition, a good day. It was a wonderful day! I'll write more of course when I'm typing on a real keyboard, but for now, basking in the afterglow, I wanted to express gratitude for a great son who chose a wonderful person with whom to share his life. It's not just a new day, it's a new family. The future is wide open and their choice to form a family harnesses the most powerful forces for good works and positive influence that are found in the world today. I feel like we can always see good things in the future as long as love continues to find its manifestation in shining young people making this brave, bold step.
